Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was on television in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to perform in front of her family until adulthood, as they feared the stress it would create. Perry said that she was too timid to perform during high school, but started doing shows in theater classes at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry was able to land tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent when she finished her degree. However, her homesickness caused her to move back to California again where she began performing in the stage. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in the ABC film The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she starred in an recurring role in her own ABC Political thriller Scandal which starred her father. She also played her older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The actress was chosen for the role despite having a close familial connection to the character.
