Carly Rae Jepsen was born on 21 November 1985 in Mission British Columbia Canada. In her early years Carly Rae was able playing music. She was a student at an institution called the Canadian College of Performing Arts, located in Victoria, British Columbia, when she graduated from the high school. In 2007 she auditioned in the 5th season of Canadian Idol and made it to the top 3. The following year, she debuted her first album Tug of War in 2008. It became a massive success and reached the top spot in the Canadian Albums Chart. She debuted her sophomore album Kiss that produced the huge single Call Me Maybe. It was an international success, topping the charts in more than 18 countries. More than 15 million albums were sold.
