Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actor. She also sings. Sara Ramirez was raised by an American mother, and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts, which made her feel unwelcome. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim at an audition. It not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. When she was 22, she was able to graduate from at the Julliard School of New York. In the year 23 she started her professional career, making her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. The following year she was made the lead character the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. As a well-known singer, she released her own single and an extended play. She's also an activist who fights in the fight for LGBT rights.
